"I rang on Monday at 8 to book an appointment and was told they are fully booked and to ring at 2. So I had then rang at 2 that same day however due to the line being constantly busy I had got thorough to the receptionist at 2.30 where I was then told they are booked and to ring on Thursday at 8.30. So I rang at 8.30 on Thursday only to be told i was supposed to ring at 8! I had then myself gone into the gp hoping to see if there had been a cancellation. I was TRYING to explain my situation to the receptionist who was just constantly inturupting and not letting me finish what I had to say. She had then advised me about the leicester hub. I asked her if she could give me more information about it as I haven't hear about it, which she replied saying 'Everyone has heard/knows about it!'. I had then explained to her that clearly not EVERYONE knows about it as I don't and I'm sure others don't to, but she just carried on arguing about the fact that it's well known by people. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting! Also the GPS are not consistent."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
