"Siam Surgery may not be in the most convenient location but the building itself is excellent - well-designed, clean and tidy. Everyone has good days and bad days and NHS staff are no different - and under a great deal of pressure, and despite this at Siam Surgery the level of service from doctors, nurses and support staff is generally good, though at times somewhat brusque. Problems I've experienced : 1) information sent in advance of appointments to GPs - to save time and explain complicated circumstances -went unread. 2) The online booking system allows you to book a double slot but then, without informing you, reduces it to a single slot. 3) Why is there online booking for GP appointments, but not for appointments with nurses and clinics, except diabetes? 4) And, as ever with the NHS, the phone system seems hardly adequate to the volume of calls received and you can end up on hold, listening to weird worn-out taped music, for ages. Having said that, complared with experiences at other NHS surgeries I've heard about, Siam does pretty well in difficult circumstances."
