"Southlea Surgery provided a good service until it was formed out of a merger with another to form The Cambridge practice. Over the last year, I have had two referrals to Frimley Park either lost in the system or delayed. No one could tell me quite what happened only that it takes two months from gp referral to arriving with frimley Park!! In both cases the doctor intervened but if Iâd not taken the initiative and chased I am sure I would still be waiting for the appts. As a result one if the referrals has led to an appointment with the specialist at Fleet Hospital taking 8 months after seeing the GP and her prmising it had been made.
On the second referral, I have found the staff at Frimley Park take you seriously, the GP service locally not so good so eg it took over two years for someone to finally refer me to dermatology where I discovered I have a low grade cancerous mole on my face. I am now considering private as there is now another long wait to get it removed (referred 10/18 and no appointment yet). I phoned today to check if my GP could help speed things (as the mole has bled) only to wait 31 mins on hold when dialling the surgery and then getting cut-off when I did get through.
I have lost confidence in the system/service and feel for those locally who are less experiened than me and maybe less able to navigate the afmin involved with public services"
