"This is a busy clinic. As a regular visitor to Speldhurst from Canada, I have accompanied my mum-in-law numerous times to the clinic & have needed to contact them from Canada on her behalf. Her care from two doctors has been considerate, kind & thorough at all times. Today I required assistance for myself & was fortunate to be seen the same day, even though it wasn't quite urgent. One doctor is lovely in every way. She was able to assist me expediently, just as she assisted my husband 2 yrs ago when he did have an urgent situation which required a quick response. Front desk staff are extremely polite and gracious even though the phone is ringing non-stop. I have full confidence in all the staff at this clinic, including the very convenient pharmacy. They have been nothing but wonderful with our family over the years and it is deeply appreciated."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
