"Mam had a 10 minute appointment booked with the doctor, the receptionist rang her on the request of the doctor to change it to a 20 minute appointment as she has other problems. Her appointment was booked for 9:50. Running a bit late she was called in to see GP at 10:01. Following her injection she started to discuss another problem, the GP response was "here we go again", "always taking up my time when there are others that need it more", my Mam politely reminded the doctor she had a 20 minute appointment on their request, which the doctor ignored. My Mam was extremely upset and chose not to discuss her other issues, choosing to make small talk instead which the doctor was receptive too! After arriving home she broke down and sobbed, still having the suspect mole on her side not even examined. Disgusting behaviour by this GP, she was well within her 20 minute time slot, and she will never see this GP again. The doctor was running late but not my mams fault at all. This behaviour is by no means representative to the rest of the practice."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
