"I have been with the same pharmacy for more than a year and until December I didn't have any problems, then I never received my medicines, the pharmacy sent me an email stating they had not received my script back from the surgery, I tried unsuccessfully to get through to the surgery to sort the issue out, thankfully I had extra and it was enough to January, then the same thing happened this time I managed to get through and although my pharmacy emailed me proof they had sent it through to the surgery, the receptionist was adamant they never received it, but she sent the script later that day, again now February pharmacy doesn't get my script after requesting it, I phone the surgery a very rude receptionist tells me it's not their fault and they never received the script request from the pharmacy and a lot of people are complaining about that pharmacy and so on, she didn't give me a chance to explain that I had proof they sent it through and I would gladly send a copy of this to them, she was abrupt, rude and in the end had started to raise her voice at me! I wasn't rude nor loud or abusive funny how NHS staff can be abusive but we the patients can't!! The ONLY thing keeping me at the surgery is my doctor is his by far the best doctor there!!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
