"I feel compelled to write this review to inform others considering using this practice.

To begin with I rarely write reviews, however I feel that I have a duty of care to inform others of the poor level of care this practice provides.

I have been going to this practice for 15 years, since it was located on Denmark Road. I happily stayed with the practice after the move as my visits were quite infrequent at the time, however upon first visiting the new location on Athelstan Road many years ago I did feel and express my concerns about the lack of privacy at reception and the fact that your conversation echoes around the whole waiting area, so no level of patient confidentiality. The surgery has tried to rectify this over the years to no avail.

In the last 18 months I have had considerable need for more regular health visits for blood tests, for physical health issues as well as mental health issues (PTSD and anxiety).

The receptionists are hit or miss, there are two left that are lovely, friendly warm and welcoming, however I have not had the fortune to have an appointment when they are on duty, instead I have been repeatedly met with a hassled, unfriendly service almost like me being there is an inconvenience.

The waiting room is a nightmare for someone suffering from anxiety, it echoes and magnifies every sound to an unacceptable level, leaving you in a full blown panic attack, and waiting times are always long upto 45 minutes and regularly 25-30 minutes.

Impossible to get to see your own doctor, the triage system in place is atrocious, messages are not accurately passed or processed properly, another number was left for my GP to contact as I cannot answer my own phone, yet my number was called, and subsequently missed as I keep my phone on silent.

Repeat prescriptions are ridiculous and are totally unreliable, trying to re order them is a nightmare and they are never correct, always an error of missing items.

I have been trying to talk to my GP for 3 weeks to no avail, and I cannot make an appointment until I can speak to him first, according to the receptionists, due to this mind boggling system they have in place.

It would appear that this practice has gone down hill dramatically, especially since my GP has retired, if you have mental health issues and need a GP practice you can rely on to support you and help you when you need it then this is not the right practice for you. Likewise if you are suffering from ongoing medical issues and need regular medication for pain or anxiety again steer clear, the staff are unhelpful bordering on rude, the caring attitude has all but gone from here. You are left feeling desperate for help and no one to turn to.

You are bounced around from duty doctor to locum with no continuity of care. It's a real shame as this practice used to have a lovely feel about it many many years ago, but now it's a cold, unfriendly, unhelpful environment that I would not recommend to anyone."
