"Apparently the surgery has a new online system of which I have not been told about.
I phoned to order a repeat prescription the other day and got a longer winded message from their worst doctor saying they prefer you to use the new online system but to hold for telephone contact. I press 3 and am immediately cut off. I then have to phone 15 times getting an engaged tone.
When I eventually get through the staff member was courteous and ordered my prescription.
I then went online to register to eventually find that I should have received logging in details from the surgery. If you have no letter you have to go to the surgery or phone them to get the details to register online.
Since this surgery lost its best doctors it has become a joke that expects everyone to register online irrespective of your views or if you prefer to not go online or canât go online you will receive a second rate service at best. Pity the elderly who are not online and will struggle to see a doctor."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
