"I just called today and the staff just won't let me make an appointment. I got my knees two days ago, it sounded minor but it's a really big wound and started swelling and weeping yesterday. The staff asked me if it's not getting any better, and to be honest I said no, it is getting a bit better today, so she told me I need to see a local pharmacist first and then they will decide if I need an appointment. I have been to boots once and my friends have been there twice for me when I can barely move, and we can find nothing effectively helpful. My dad is a chemical engineer making medicine and he couldn't find me anything useful to my situation that doesn't need prescription at all. That's literally why I came to GP. And they just won't let me. I also need to have a health check, but she said if I need to have some medical problems to have one. I mean, isn't health check meant to check if you have any problems? Loads people told me it's free so it's understandable, but I'm an international student and it's not free for me! I paid over four thousand quid to have this free service and I had to pay it. From my two years experience they really did nothing for me and every time I tried to make an appointment it's always disappointment. Shame."
