"I have called the surgery quite a few times when my children have been ill.
I've never actually managed to get an appointment past a telephone appointment except for once which ended in my child needing surgery.
And every telephone appointment, I am told a prescription for antibiotics will be ready for collection.
In 2019 so far we have had 4 prescriptions for antibiotics without a doctor even seeing my child.
I only phone the doctors as I need proof of illness for my children for the school.
I don't ever fill the prescriptions as I know they don't need the antibiotics. Even when I say to the doctor I'm not happy with giving antibiotics without them seeing the doctor.
Each time my child has got better without them.
They are too quick to write a prescription for antibiotics and with antibiotic resistance on the rise, this is quite concerning."
