"I Have been a member of The Surgery at 2 Goldington Rd since arriving in Bedford in 1987 .
Throughout most of this time I have been largely healthy and had not had to access the surgery much, although I have to say they were amazing when my eldest son was a toddler and developed a rash, a GP arrived at my own home that same evening to âdouble checkâ on him.
August 2017 I experienced a nervous breakdown and panic attacks that led me to thoughts of self harm , The surgery are AMAZING , so kind and caring, they to,elated me sitting in appointments barely able to speak through the tears. The reception staff are second to none and have always , always responded speedily if I have called at a crisis point.
My GP recommended Bedfordshire Well being and during the long wait for therapeutic treatment has kept a close eye on me, helping me to balance medication and patiently listening when anxiety became too much. When I had to resign from my job (headteacher ) my GP was incredibly supportive , reassuring me that she would support my application for Iâll health retirement from teaching ...
I am now still recieving treatment for my condition and hope eventually to begin to feel some recovery from my diagnosis of PTSD and GAD .
I cannot thank the doctor enough, nor can I praise highly enough the caring response of the reception team.
