"I have recently joined this practice due to a house move. I do not visit a GP often but have tried twice to get an appointment with no success. I managed to get an appointment a week in advance, however my ongoing problem had cleared up by the time I saw a GP. I have no idea who the GP was, he did not introduce himself; he did not listen, he showed no empathy and was not interested. I feel I have a 'sun spot' and the symptoms can be that of a pre- cancerous growth, but he did not ask me any questions. I agree I would need to come back when it flares up again as it does, however I am back to not getting an appointment and by the time I do it has gone again, slowly growing in size. Can I suggest someone from Gables visits Wrose Medical Centre in Shipley as they are an outstanding surgery. From the receptionist at the front desk to every GP in their practice they show empathy, respect and you leave after your appointment with dignity; I had to leave them because I moved to Leeds.
Just to add I work full time so cannot ring on the day for a same day appointment plus my condition is not urgent as such and I feel could be treated with some cream as my mother had the same and was given special cream which successfully treated her skin condition which she was told was pre- cancerous."
