"We have been patients of the Glendale Practice since we arrived in the area in 2012. Having been patients of an excellent practice in Cheshire we never expected to find such a good replacement provider anywhere. Our experience has confirmed that our fears were groundless despite several changes of medical and other personnel. The range of services provided locally is much larger than expected and superb support is readily available from the Newcastle Hospitals (I have personal experience of the Freeman Urology and Audiology departments) as well as our local hospital in Berwick for minor injuries. Consultations are available in Berwick from visiting staff based in Newcastle and Wansbeck hospitals and a Skype fracture clinic is available to mitigate the need to travel long distants for follow up checks.
Surgery opening hours are better than expected and there are now extra hours available in the new co-operative delivery provided by a group of local practices. Telephone reception is exemplary and patients are politely asked if they would mind saying what the subject of their call was when seeking an appointment, thereby enabling the caller to be directed to the most appropriate help.
Staffe are always friendly, helpful and those we know have a most reassuring manner."
