"An e-mail was received inviting me to an asthma clinic at about the same time that I was emailed that I was due a second NHS health check now I'd reached the dizzy age of 65. I was concerned about the time it would take to set up appointments firstly asthma clinic, then for blood tests and then for results, review and feedback. It was a totally painless process. The phone at the surgery directed me to the nurse who quickly set a date for the blood test as we spoke and then set a review date. I explained that a visit to the asthma clinic was needed and thanks to some diary shuffling that appointment was set to be a 20 minutes before the blood test - one saved journey! Texts were received confirming then reminding me of the dates and times. On not one occasion was I required to wait and on both visits to the three appointments I was impressed by the efficiency of the process and the standard of care and feedback.
