"I came away today feeling a little disappointed. I was concerned about my daughter who was in with the doctor as the doctor had rushed out to collect water for her. I spoke to the receptionist as I wondered if she needed me. I got a very abrupt answer from one lady who asked me how old she was, when I replied 18 she made me feel like it had nothing to do with me. Luckily the other receptionist was very kind and checked to see if she was okay.
My point is that the age of the family member is irrelevant. I showed concern and should have been put at ease straight away rather than being made to feel like it has nothing to do with me because my daughter is over 18. As I said before one of the receptionists took me seriously and helped me out."
