"Iâm a visiting patient with a 1 year old daughter that had a horrible cough and crackly chest. I called 111 and was advised my daughter is seen within 6 hours! After calling around all surgeries in the area I was informed by all practice that I should contact the surgery my daughters relatives were registered! Her relatives are registered at redwell, this surgery refused to see my daughter!! Thet explained that they would see her if she registered but this would take 48hrs! The assistant manager went on to explain that they are not a walk-in centre and I was to take her to Corby. I explained that I have not transport to get to the walk-in centre, she still refused to register her as a temp patient. At this point I got annoyed and stressed that my daughter was not well and that I would not be happy if I had to end up taking her to A&E because they refused to see her! She then asked me how would I get to A&E if I was claiming I couldnât get to Corby! The practice manager was rude, sarcastic and showed no sympathy for my situation! As a deputy manager myself I was shocked to hear this practice follows this policy and to have a deputy that was so rude and unhelpful!"
