"I received a letter saying that my son's one year injections are due and that I need to phone up the surgery to book an appointment. I called after the morning rush and got through fairly quickly . A appointment was arranged for a Wednesday as only day I could get so I booked the day off work especially for this , I get text messages confirming the appointment which is great but as soon as I get those I get another one asking me to call the surgery and when I do they say they have no nurse and need to rebook. I rebook for the following Monday (today) and I'm seen on time with out having to wait to long. The nurse goes through all the details tells me what's about to happen and says she won't be to long as just needs to go to the other fridge to get the injections. When she comes back she only has 3 out of the 4 the MMR is missing , she double checks her fridge and there isn't one in there either so now we have had to rebook and the only one day aviable isn't until next Wednesday and at half 3 so no morning ones. Luckily I am off work that day and can attend I just hope next time we visit it can be done as your advice says they should be done within one month of him turing one which is a matter of days . I don't feel this is good customer service I understand staffing issues but to not have stock to"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
