"It is extremely difficult to obtain a pre-bookable appointment. The online system very rarely has appointments available to select. Iâve tried arranging a follow-up appointment when at the surgery, with no success (none available). The telephone booking system is infuriating. It takes a number of calls to finally get through, no matter what day Iâve tried. Whenever I do get through, I seem to be told appointments are for âemergencies onlyâ and Iâm not given one. I try to visit the doctor very often. I hope the reason for seeking an appointment is not an emergency, but I feel like Iâm being steered towards saying it is in order to be seen.
A decent availability of online pre-bookable appointments would significantly improve the performance of this surgery, especially for workers who have to make arrangements to take time off to try and arrange appointments on the day."
