"It is no longer possible to make an appointment within a reasonable time -say within 2 weeks to see my nominated GP.
Recently I needed to see a doctor and was seen on the day at Freshfield surgery as an emergency.This happened twice in one week..
The care give by the two different doctors was excellent and lead to a resolution of my illness
However, the environment of the Freshfield surgery was very poor. The waiting area
urgently requires maintenance and an upgrade.When I visited the toilet was out of order ( both times), the disabled toilet access door was nearly jammed, stiff & noisy. There is no
privacy in the waiting area. Also, one bank of flourscent lights was not working & another bank of lights was flickering. All access doors in the waiting room were creaking & stiff. The area is in urgent need of redecoration.
Since my visit to Freshfield surgery I visited the main surgery in Elbow Lane which has modern facilities a pleasant waiting area with privacy and is in complete contrast"
