"The doctors at this surgery share the frustration of patients... The process for getting an appointment is unnecessarily convaluted, complex and disrespectful. Reception don't pass on messages or book appointments properly and act to block appointments. Only when I have had to get the hospital involved have appointments become magically available.
They refuse face to face for medical reviews despite GP requesting it and say everything must be done by phone. I am thankful for the support my hospital doctors can offer because without them I would have no care.
Appointments are rarely available and if you try to book in advance appointments are fully booked 2-3months ahead and then they refuse to book further ahead than this. A great surgery if you manage to gain access.
Think of all the extra admin and time wasted and expensive resource of hospital Drs used just to get a GP appointment. I am entitled to health care and yet this surgery makes me feel like I am asking for a holiday to the Bahamas."
