"I rang up yesterday (6/3/19) to book an appointment after speaking to a nurse whom I work with. She told me I needed to get an appointment for the afternoon as it was fairly urgent and causing me a lot of pain. After asking for the appointment this receptionist insisted she needed to know what the problem was and would not be taking 'personal' as a reason. I did not wish to disclose the information, as I told her many times, because I find the issue embarrassing but the receptionist told me I would not be getting an appointment if I did not tell her. After forcing my personal problem out of me she told me 'this is not a medical emergency' and to ring up at 8 am in the morning to get an appointment and I would definitely get one.

A few years ago, I visited the doctor as I had many family problems going and thought I had depression and I needed help. As I was a teenager, I was sent away by the doctor as she said that I need to "just talk to a teacher". This is not the support I needed. Mental health is a big issue and no one gets the care they need.
I have been a patient at this surgery since I was little and they are deteriorating and provide no sort of care. I am not the sort of person to want to go to the doctor and I always avoid going if I can help it. This surgery has pushed me aside too many times."
