"I am a young complex patient, but despite needing frequent appointments and tests I'm never made to feel like I'm taking up time or being a pain! I have frequent appointments with the senior partner who I find excellent; she is kind and thoughtful, while on the ball and never rushes me. Most importantly for me she takes my views seriously and understands I've lived with my condition for a long time and do have an instinct as to what's going on quite often. I've also had another doctor as an emergency doctor, and bearing in mind he'd never met me and was faced with such a complex history I thought he was marvellous. He listened, took me seriously and overall came across as kind and interested. I've had two other emergency doctors and found them both very good. I think the system of using telephone appointments as well as face to face is a brilliant idea. It saves me having to come in but I'm just being checked on. I have had several appointments with the nurse and she is amazing! So kind and funny, she really takes your mind off what she has to do, but not only that she's incredibly proficient at what she does; bloods are taken very quickly and delicately. Of course like any surgery it's annoying having to call at 8am to try and get an appointment, but I've never had a day when I've explained I really do need to see someone and not been given an appointment. So thank you, I think I'm really lucky to be a patient here."
