"I have been with the practise my entire life, and I have seen it get worse and worse. The appointment system is a farce. Only being able to ring on the day at 8:45am is ridiculous, you're fighting with everyone to get an appointment, and they don't let you book in advance, so it's a free-for-all every morning. If you work it's impossible as the practise closes for lunch and then at 6pm.
The receptionists have a horrendous job trying to deal with this and I feel incredibly sorry for them. Many of the GPs I have seen for years have left and trying to get any consistent appointment with the same GP is impossible. Phone appointments are non-existent."
