"The medical staff (doctors and nurses) are excellent, however the reception staff would benefit from training and the âlottery appointmentâsystem, where you ring at 8.00 am to try get an appointment is rubbish. Often there are no appointments or the appointments on offer are in the middle of day, and it is difficult to get time off work at short notice. Most times appointments are not urgent, so I donât need an appointment that day.
I dread phoning for an appointment, so tend not to bother unless it is desperately urgent.
The reception staff at times can be rude, give misleading information which is blatantly not true and have often not received my consultant letters, even though I always receive copies."
