"I appreciate its easy to criticise an over-run under-resourced NHS but if patients don't feedback on their experiences then when will things ever change. Tower Courts biggest problem is that's logistically its not focussed on the needs of patients, medically yes it is.
Simple example
I qualify for a flue jab every year, TC used to send you a letter in September/October with a time slot on it where you used to turn up and queue with maybe 300 other patients to be 'jabbed', easy peasy. Patents get there care and TC see hundreds of patients in a very short space of time thus hopefully stopping a lot of vulnerable people presenting with flue over winter costing the NHS millions and maybe lives. Time taking up nurse - 15 seconds.
well done TC great service.

However now its changed, well you don't get written to for starters, by the time you realise they've maybe forgotten you and ring them (several times as speaking to a human being is nigh on impossible) you get told its a 'money saving initiative' not to post out so many expensive letters and its reliant on patients to call up, empowering patients apparently, OK but shouldn't it be reliant on TC to tell patients this has changed first?.

Fine so please can you tell me when I can have my flue jab? Answer - no, all our nurses appointments are full can you ring back in 3 weeks as we cant book an appointment further than 3 weeks away.
TWICE I rang again to be told this, I had my flue jab in, wait for it...... late January for goodness sake. I asked the nurse why this had changed and she said it was just too stressful the other way. OK but that way was everyone gets their flue jab, the other way how many don't? I thought the NHS's prerogative was preventative healthcare?
Time to get Flue Jab - 3 MONTHS
Phone calls to TC 20 - answered 3
Full Appointment blocked with a busy nurse - time actually with nurse still 15 seconds.

I'm sure somewhere in the Tower Court machine there's a 'manager' working this masterplan out who needs a promotion or definitely a gold star. They have single handedly taken an efficient 15 second medical procedure that needed no pre-booking or organisation on Tower Courts behalf apart from a second class stamp, and delayed it 3 months, used up more NHS time and resources to facilitate it, inconvenienced the patient incredibly,(as my appointment was on a work day), increased the likelihood of infection and real costs to the NHS and probably put many off actually having the inoculation in the first place. Genuis.

We watch the news and hear about the crisis in the NHS, and how winter is such a hard time for admissions with flue etc..
So how would Doctors/nurses at those busy hospitals feel when their first line of defence (preventative flue inoculations) cant be logistically delivered by local GP practices.

So please TC Management, either put in a system that works or go to York District Hospital and speak to the clinical leads and explain why this system is better"
