I follow the instructions on the recorded line to wait for options to be repeated - all this does is put you at the back of the queue. I was, after calling at 8.30am, caller number eleven in the queue. NUMBER ELEVEN!!!!!!!!! After holding for 15 minutes I was caller number 10 - most likely because someone dropped off the line. There is clearly a lack of staff in this surgery and the delay in answering the call is absolutely abominable. When you are on the phone, you get the lady repeating to you how you can check online. Not helpful when you have a genuine emergency and need to seek advice from a doctor.
It is also impossible to get an appointment at a suitable time. You have to basically be not working and waiting for an appointment at any time of the day.
Please get this sorted."
