"Very difficult to deal with sometimes and there seems to be no leeway when it comes to certain things. I had an appointment booked to see a GP to have a chat. Something urgent came up and I couldn't be in Lincoln at the time of my appointment so I rang up and asked if I could do the appointment over the phone at the appointed time I was supposed to come in.
You'd think they would be okay with simply having the discussion over the phone instead of in person right? Well no, even though they do indeed do telephone appointments they won't do one in place of an already booked normal appointment at the same time.
What was the reasoning? That they would have to cancel my initial appointment and rearrange another telephone appointment for a different time.. why not just carry out my original appointment, but on the phone instead?
So convoluted and unnecessarily awkward and particular. It would have saved me a lot of ballache and stress and no one would have missed an appointment or lost out if they had just simply phoned me at my appointment time,. but instead they've just created more work for everyone involved.
Honestly I could not believe how insensitive and inconsiderate this experience was."
