"On a recent visit to my GP I was asked to book an appointment by the GP for either the end of the following week or the beginning of the next to review test results. When I tried I was told that there were no appointments available until the next month and that to either phone on the day I wanted the appointment or go in on the day early to see if there were an appointment available. I appreciate that the surgery is busy and that it is difficult to book appointments but when the GP specifically requests this, then I feel the GPs request should be taken seriously enough to find a date. A long wait for an appointment is not helpful when waiting for the results of a test. Getting appointments at this surgery is difficult - I've tried a number of times in the past and feel this is a significant issue which needs addressing for all patients."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?
