"After years of no one being able to get to the bottom of my chronic illness in 2017 I started seeing a doctor who straight away upon seeing them for something else the doctor asked why haven't u been tested further from that day on the doctor has gone above and beyond to get me to the correct specialists and get me the right treatment thanks to their determination to get the right diagnosis for me and get me help I saw the specialists and have now been diagnosed with a rare disease that no gp could of been expected to diagnose but they knew there was something the doctor knew it was probably rare and the doctor did everything possible to help me I can't thank them enough hopefully when I start getting the right treatment from the hospital this will be life changing. I also want to say that the reception staff are now all fantastic always go out there way to help me with what I need and are always kind and polite although in previous years I have not always had great experiences this past year ancora especially the doctor has been absolutely amazing!!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
