"A busy practice - so stressful its become impersonal.
The NHS talks about wasted appointments missed by patients, however my friend spoke of a whole afternoon he tried calling to cancel his appointment but couldn't get through. Naturally he didn't get there and this will be another 'Did Not Attend' statistic costing the NHS money - its not all down to patient fault. So many comments about receptionist issues, what's happening? Maybe book/cancel your appointments online so you don't have to talk to them . Win/win!
Recently I met my 'assigned' GP after a number of years seeing other Asplands GPs, upon greeting the GP with a smile I was not even offered a courteous greeting in response. So as not to take up any more of the GPs time I left the GP with my health issue stating I would return to collect a prescription if necessary so the GP could see the next patient. No one really wants to be there lets face it, we're all busy!"
