"it is completely ridiculous that it takes at least half an hour to even get through to speak to someone, then you are told that there are no appointments left, you can't pre-book an appointment even if you work and therefore have great difficulty in being able to find time to ring for an appointment. you can't book an appointment by walking in to the surgery you have to ring. if it is an ongoing or recurring problem you still can't pre-book an appointment. this practice was never great to start with but now it is virtually impossible to get an appointment at all !!
today i rang at 8am for an appointment, took 40 minutes to be spoken to, to then rudely be told to ring back after 10am as it wasn't an emergency, this after listening to endless messages of services etc but no mention whatsoever about non-emergency requests needing to be made after 10am ! so infuriating because if that had been said at the start of the messages i would have hung up rather than wait for 40 minutes to be told this ! the person who answered the phone was very abrupt and rude too. it really is no wonder that people go to A & E for minor issues when they have this ridiculous system in place when trying to get to see a GP !"
