"Cotgrave surgery is a very average surgery - Nothing about it stands out positively and there isn't anything too negative to say about it either from my experience. My two criticisms are that they are always late to appointments - my baby and I once had to wait 20mins for our appointment to start - and I've had multiple poor experiences when dealing with one Dr. Firstly, i have had two separate occassions where the Dr was supposed to call me back and she didn't until I called the surgery to chase her multiple times. Then on one occasion I was 10mins late to an appointment (which is my fault but she knows I have a newborn baby) and not only did she cancel the appointment but she refused to reschedule it and referred me to a clinic 30mins away! There was no explanation of why she wouldn't reschedule the appointment or anything. Poor poor service especially from a doctor!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
