"I do understand the pressure the NHS are under but at whoâs expense ? I uswd be registered at another surgery but changed the Beversbrook and I have always felt happy in their hands and happy with the appointment system.
For the last year it is extremely rare to get a emergency appointment and having to wait over 3 weeks , sometimes a emergency appointment may not be a emergency at A&E and I would feel totally guilty of using their resources when itâs a emergency matter that needs seeing too by a GP. Mental health issues comes to mind as I write this .
I am extremely worried about about my husbands health at the moment and desperate to see a GP but he has to wait weeks so I am thinking of cancelling one of my own appointments to give him as heâs in greater need at the moment , but why should I have to think whoâs health comes first itâs not a game . There are less Drs at the surgery now and and the appointments you can get are with a nurse for a blood test .
I have rang in the past to sort out medication problems and been told one thing then I wait for a call and nothing so I ring again and get told something else . I have also been told recently not to have my cortisone injections anymore and have physio instead ! These injections really work for me and I only have them maybe twice a year but obviously this is the cost to the NHS so I am feeling very negative and loosing faith in the surgery . I understand the whole system is under pressure and now you can definitely see it in the surgeryâs performance which must be frustrating also for the actual staff themselves as they work long hours but itâs like banging your head against a brick wall I can imagine."
