"medical staff are excellent from nurses to the GPâs and have given me great care and choice in my treatment. However, the surgery is let down by out of date policies and procedures!! Reception staff are rude and unhelpful, which isnât great when dealing with people who are unwell! The past few times of me needing an emergency appointment have resulted in me having to call 111 for an appointment at primary care. I understand receptionists having to ask several questions to try and point you to the right professional but it seems several of the staff donât want to stay on the phone long enough for you to explain and palm people off with âno appointments today sorry call back tomorrow or go to A&Eâ, not a great attitude to have when it costs a fortune for the NHS to treat someone in hospital. I phoned for an appointment and was told there was no emergency appointments left despite calling at 8:30, my mum called 10 minutes after me and was given an emergency appointment. Staff are not very dignified either as everyone in the waiting room can hear the conversations they are having and hear them being quite abrupt and rude to the other person on the phone. Shame really as this would be an excellent surgery if it wasnât for the non clinical staff."
