"Last Friday my husband awoke at 3am with intense back ache, so bad he went down to the lounge to nap on the Sofa. It didnât deter him going to look after our two grandchildren but as the day progressed so did my husbands symptoms. Eventually, at 2.45 pm he thought, with severe chest pain, shakes and feeling intensely cold he should seek medical advice. I phoned the surgery, the receptionist was kindness itself. She apologised for not having an appointment free but offered a Dr to speak to us on the phone. The doctor phoned at 3pm, advised a visit to the surgery, thorough examination of my husband ( who has COPD),urine infection ruled out, probably onset of chest infection,although chest seemed clear Sats were low at 93 , temperature was 38.3 after taking Paracetamol, given a course of A/Bs as a precaution. At 3.45 I was in the chemist collecting medication. All this within an hour. My husband went to bed with his A/Bs at 5pm, slept all night and felt better the next day. You hear so many horror stories from other practices, I can honestly say we have never had a bad experience with Camberley Health centre, from Receptionist to nurses, regular Drs or locums you all shine. Thank you so very much for all your hard work keeping us safe. We have a wonderful NHS and fully appreciate it."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
