"I haven't really had much of a problem with the receptionists. I usually make appointments online.Pharmacy staff fine too. Weak link seems to be GPs. I have always had very good relationships with previous GPs until I came to this surgery. The GPs are cold and unwelcoming. i always smile and say "good Morning " as I go in. However smiling seems to be an optional extra with them preferring to look you up and down like you're a bad smell. They make you feel like you're an inconvenience.With so many things wrong with me it is difficult to get it all into the 10mins allocated and yet i am frequently out before 10mins which sort of indicates how one is sped along.Snide remarks, quips, curt replies seem the order of the day to some of the GPs.You find yourself biting your lip not to reply. doesnt seem to be much in the way of follow up either. You get referred and if nothing is found the subject is closed even if youre still experiencing the same problem. Patients seem concerned about complaining in case it is turned against them. this is confirmed by another persons review.They just dont seem to care. You get treatment yes (which is the main thing) but 'caring' seems optional. I could understand such a bad welcome at the end of a really busy day but at 8.30am it takes some justifying certainly earning £100,000 on average (according to hardwicke group practice website"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
