"This doctors surgery (or group of: Providence, Strouden Park Medical Centre) are some of the best in the area with caring, knowledgeable and compassionate GPs and nursing staff, fast and hard working reception/admin teams and approachable management. Everyone is always lovely. Nothing is ever too much.
It is easy enough to get through to the surgery, though busy when you call at 08:30 due to the way they work: they book 2/3 of appointments in advance and leave 1/3 for on the day. They do usually have telephone appointments too and a 'clinician' triage which is a bit like 111 but in-house.
Prescriptions are always ready to collect within 48 hours, and they can also set you up for an electronic prescription which enables to you choose a local pharmacy, if you do this, you can call the pharmacy to request your medication, they will send it to your GP, and then you can collect it straight from the pharmacy 48 hours later - it's a time saving, efficient way that cuts out the middle man.
The waiting area and surgeries are always clean with relevant advertisement.
One of the best things about this group of GP surgeries is the additional services they offer: some of the doctors do implants and coils, there's psychiatrist, there's a physio, the nurses can do blood tests which means you don't have to go to the hospital, if they are fully booked you can be booked into Shelley Road (2 minutes round the corner)."
