"Looks like things deteriorate considerably at this surgery. At the moment to get a routing appointment one needs to wait 2 or 3 weeks and more. If you or you child have a non-urgent, but worrying condition such a long waiting time is unacceptable.
In the past one would normally expect to be able to see a doctor within a week, but over the last two years things started to go downhill with increasing speed.
The side effect of such a long waiting time was that more and more people started to claim 'urgent medical issue' to get the same day appointment. Now, they closed this option by making you first to wait for a call from the doctor. Needless to say, that this solution is suboptimal as well. I think they will soon see people with children just walking in and refusing to leave until they are seen.
This is all really sad. I sympathize with them -- staff there is clearly overworked and stretched, but from the point of view of patient the current situation is not sustainable either."
