We recently had a double appointment, at the suggestion of the GP, to assess her current care needs and to document a longer term plan. He explained matters very clearly to my aunt, who understood the discussion and was able to make informed decisions, with documentation provided to be kept at her home.
A blood test was arranged and, a couple of days later, I was advised about the results. A repeat sample is needed, which I requested should be taken by the district nurse service at Whitton. I received a call from that service the following day, and arranged a suitable date.
This was first class, joined up, management, for which we are very grateful."
