"On friday evening I ended up with a very bad cough. Because I am a copd patient and a non smoker i have to be very careful when i get a bad cough. I ran out of medicine because i was not alowed to bring it through customs. Rang this surgery on Monday morning at 9 and asked the lady on the phone if i could make an appointment to see a gp by that time cough was so bad that i had trouble breathing. The first thing she asked me after I already told her that I was here on holiday 'are you a patient here' I said no and she told me that I had to come in and fill in a form and then she would give me an appointment. My question to her then was if i was right in having to go down there first and fill in the forms, go back to hotel and then go back to the surgery again? This is when I got a very rude answer back and she said i think I already told you that! I am insured and do need freebies from the NHS, but it would be nice to get treated propperly with compassion and she did not. Rung whiteparish surgery could go there an hour later and filled in forms there and then. Wat a difference in expierence this was. Sorry for the spelling mistakes and maybe my lack of propper English on the phone, but this lady on the phone did not behave like a lady at all."
