"After seeing the Doctor I was informed that I needed to go for a chest x-ray and provide a sample. The doctor instructed that I didn't need an appointment and was to just turn up at Leigh Infirmary. He gave me a letter and reception provided me with the sample pot a bag for it to go in. I attended Leigh Infirmary today and handed my sample in without a problem but when I got to reception of the x-ray dept I was told I needed a further letter off the doctor that was to be signed by him. The x-ray receptionist phoned Beefold surgery but was told there would be no doctor available to sign the letter until 3pm. Cut off at the x-ray dept is 4pm so I told her I would go at 3pm and collect it. I arrived at Beefold surgery at 3pm to be told the times have changed and there would be no doctor available until 4pm which would make it too late to get back for the x-ray. I took this afternoon off from work as half day holiday to get the x-ray done and through the doctor's ineptitude and the receptionist lack of when their doctor will arrive has resulted in a complete waste of time. I think I will take my chances with mother nature rather than go through this escapade again!!!"
