"we took our 9 year old daughter in as her lips had swollen late summer 2018 we saw 3 doctors over the period from then till January all of the doctors did not take our concerns seriously my wife took her in initially and saw the doctor who gave creams and advised to keep an eye on it which to give him the benefit of the doubt was the bare minimum he could have done, we knew it wasn't normal to suddenly get swollen lips and as they didn't respond to the creams we returned to the doctors and saw a locum doctor, i went with my daughter on this and the last appointment,i took photos of our daughter with us pre aug 18 to show how her lips are meant to look and this doctor took no notice he was lost in his own arrogance,my wife said we are concerned that it could be crohns related to which this doctor just laughed at her i sat here and listened to him say in all his years hes never seen anyone with crohns and it wasn't now, i asked him to not laugh at us as we have brought our child in as we are very concerned about her,the doctor then asked if anyone in our family had crohns disease and i replied yes my adult daughter has crohns, the doctor advised us to go home and wash our bedding clothes !!! this is a qualified medical practitioner telling us to go home and wash our clothing ...at this point i left the room as i couldn't comprehend this man ,my wife and daughter came out a short time later with face cream and liquid antihistamine medicine which we put her through for a time and yet again we had to return and saw another doctor, i showed the photos of our daughters lips pre swelling and we had our daughter with us with her swollen lips, the doctor could not see any swelling and thought our daughter was normal, she did however due to our concerns make an appointment with the paediatrician dept in worcester hospital we took her there and was instantly treated with great concern and patience the paediatrician checked her blood and took a stool sample to which showed high enough levels to concern them and indicate that our daughter has at the minimum a digestive issue within the family of crohns disease , i was at one time going to transfer from my doctors practice to riverside in evesham but to be treated with total lack of interest from most of the 3 doctors we saw and to keep on returning hoping to be taken seriously as we know our child as parents often do is pretty disgraceful and ile be sticking with my own practice and quite likely moving the rest of my family there.."
