"I am 65 years old and not a Bristol resident but fell unwell whilst staying with my 94 year old mother who is on an 'End of Life Plan' and receiving palliative care.. I phoned Mum's surgery - the Henbury and Southmead practice to see if they could help me. They were very unhelpful and directed me to phone 111. This service was also unhelpful suggesting I might need to drive from North Bristol to the Royal Hospital in Bath. As I was feeling really poorly this was not an option. A carer at Mum's complex suggested the Greenway Practice. THANK GOODNESS she did. They were MARVELLOUS. The reception staff were very sympathetic and caring and got me an appointment that evening. The doctor I saw was amazing. She diagnosed strep throat, mouth thrush, raised temperature and heart rate and prescribed penicillin. Within 2 days I could eat and drink again and felt so much better.
A HUGE thank you to all the team there.."
