"I class myself as privileged to be a patient at this surgery. The receptionists at the front desk and in the back offices, are efficient approachable discreet and always willing to help, either by phone or in person. I visit the surgery every day to receive nursing care, all the nurses are professional, kind and caring. I am treated with respect and friendliness. If there are delays, its for emergencies, I have been one of those and I'm grateful to have been there and receive this extra care, from the nurses and on several occasions by my doctor. The treatment rooms are clean and well equipped, dressings are always available. My doctor has always shown care and consideration, my doctor listens and discusses my treatment with me. I do not feel rushed or pressured during my appointment. As a link to the local hospital he has provided the utmost support and help. I cannot give the surgery and all its staff enough praise and all my gratitude."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
