"As an overall review for this doctors that i have always gone to (use to be across the road in the old building, when it run a lot smoother) it is terrible. They have one or sometimes two members of staff that book appointments (bearing in mind their patient numbers are in the thousands) Also, you either spend 30-40 minutes of your working day to get through at 8am, to then be dissapointed when there are never no appointments. They're high green surgery is somewhere you can attend, hassle free. Also, a massive downfall to Hoyland is their admin staff. My father passed away last year, and the doctors surgery were informed to not file away his medical records due to them being needed by insurance company. the request was not even acknowledged, nor did they reply to the insurance company or me. they filed them away and now i am still (a year down the line) waiting for my dads records. Change your system & staff, it will only be worse in years to come. Put me through so much stress these past 10months"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
