"I took my son for a cough that he had. Doctor wrote a prescription for paracetamol. When i took it to the hbs pharmacy counter within the practice they told me it was for a baby post immunisation dose. My son is 7 so he needed a stronger dose. I went back to the surgery reception who told me to go back to the waiting area and wait for the doctor to see me again! I waited but no one came. I gave up and ended up telling the desk i dont want it. Iâd rather just buy it than fuss about.
Firstly, im sure the pharmacist has enough qualification to give me the correct dose.
Secondly, there was not much in put from the front desk i felt like i was going from one place to another and no one cared!
Thirdly, the desk told me the doctor was free so why did he not see me soon, i waited 10 mins. He is a doctor and shudnt be makin silly mistakes like this, weâve had this before where he prescribed my husband ( who suffers from asthma) something unsuitable for asthmatics.
There was no apology from anyone and i just walked out because my son has autism and waiting around is very challenging with him. Very disappointed!"
