"I have tried to get an appointment for my 81 year old mother several times. She is a diabetic and like most elderly people is now suffering from many ailments and needs attention and treatment.
I have found that you can only get an appointment by trying to ring at 8 am every morning. When I asked for an appointment later in the week/month, I was told I could not have this and should try A&E or the walk in centre or call back at 8 am the next morning.
Next morning, I called 40 times before finally getting through at 8.20 am, only to be told that all appointments for the day were gone. I then asked for a later appointment and was given one 3 days later. Why I could not have been given this appointment when I called the first time is beyond my understanding. Also am amazing feat of work for all appointments in the day to be booked in 20 minutes!
The attitude - certainly from the reception staff - is a couldn't care less attitude. And whoever is managing this surgery - if anyone - needs to put better processes in place."
