"Firstly, I've been with this surgery for over 30 years and it has been wonderful for almost all that time.
Since the new folk took over the surgery I've had 5 interactions with this surgery under it's current management, 4 of those interactions were really seriously poor. On one of them the doctor I saw couldn't even be bothered to look at me, their laptop was more important, on another the doctor I saw was more concerned about themselves than they were about me.
Most recently I visited Lambourn Surgery to renew my driving licence which I have to so I can continue to to do some volunteer driving for a charity.
Firstly I was told that no appointment was needed. Then I was told that an appointment was needed. Then I was told that I would get a call.
A week later I called them and was told that I'd receive a call, no call came.
So after ten days I went to the surgery to see where the form was and it had been shoved in a cupboard and nothing had been done with it, it had just been ignored.
Next I was told that I had to "have a medical" to renew my licence and they wanted over £100 to do it and I would get a call.
No call was received at all from any one.
This surgery, with doctors all earning around £80,000 a year give or take, wouldn't let a pensioner living on the state pension renew my driving licence to carry on doing some volunteer driving unless I gave them over £100.
if that isn't disgracefully greedy gouging I don't know what is.
This would never have happened before the current people took over the practice.
I've never met such a disgracefully greedy bunch of people.
Avoid them if you can, try Kintbury surgery instead."
