"Once you have manged to see a doctor or nurse they are superb.
HOWEVER.....the receptionists have to be some of the worst I have had the misfortune to encounter in any shape or form. With one notable exception (and I wish I had remembered her name) they are unhelpful, short and seem to think their job is to make it as difficult as possible to speak to or see a specific doctor. Their answer to everything seems to be "Use the walk in clinic".
I have just tried to ask to speak to a doctor I saw recently and to check they had a letter with further information on it. I was told the first time they had a telephone appointment was 10 days away, and that I could speak to another doctor - they would ring me back at 1 o'clock - but only about a prescription,not the letter; that would have to be dealt with separately. I asked for an e-mail address to send a copy of the letter so they would have it inside two minutes. Two minutes later I received an automated response stating "This email address is for administration matters only and is not monitored regularly. Medical matters cannot be dealt with via this email address. Please contact 01202 710013 if you have a medical matter you need assistance with." Of course when I tried the number it was after 1 o'clock so I got the automatic "surgery closed" message. I have not been contacted by the doctor as promised!
This is by no means the first occurrence of this type of problem - and judging by other comments left on here is by no means the only occurrence!"
