"When I phoned up the surgery On each occasion I was able to speak to the reception in under 2 minutes. I was able to book appointments for when I needed them and for times that suited me. I felt that the receptionist and the nurse taking bloods treated me with respect. However, I feel that the doctors that I seen didn’t treat me with respect. I saw one doctor regarding my mental health. I have borderline personality disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, depression, An adjustment disorder, I get hallucinations, panic attacks and I also self harm and have suicidal thoughts. I have ptsd from my previous relationship. I was abused physically, sexually, emotionally, finically and controlled by my ex husband. My experience with my ex husband left me scared to be around men, scared to go out the house, scared to sleep. The doctor I spoke to said I should get on with my life, that not all relationships are bad. I know not all relationships are bad. But she dismissed all of the domestic violence and dismissed a lot of my mental health problems. I am only prescribed an anti depressant for all my mental health problems even though I have explained several times that my moods are constantly changing and the anti depressants do nothing for me. The doctor did write to the mental health team who didn’t even see me, just told me to contact the rape crisis centre. I have been self harming since I was 8 years old. I had mental health problems at the age of about 3. I have a long history of suicide attempts and depression. I was getting panic attacks years before I was ever sexually abused. I know rape crisis can help me in some ways but I do feel I should receive more help for my mental health. I saw a doctor regarding my physical health. I am on medication for an under active thyroid. I have sciatica. I have constant pain in all my bones/joints or it could even be muscle, I don’t know where it comes from. Sometimes I can’t move and need help to get up. I take a lot of pain killers. The pain stops me doing stuff. It stops me sleeping and being comfortable. I have had it for years. I was told it was because I take an anti depressants. Even though the dose was reduced I still get these pains. I had these pains before I was ever given this medication. I feel extremely tired all the time. I am often so tired that I feel week, dizzy, confused."
